about the domain
SteadByte
SteadByte is a domain I own. Every site that runs on it, this portfolio included, is something I designed, wrote and deployed myself.
Two words, two halves of the job
Steady
The IT half of my job: networks that stay up, backups that actually run, rules people can follow without a manual.
Byte
The digital half: turning notebooks, chat threads and spreadsheets into small apps people open every day.
Put together, it is the idea behind my work: move things from manual to digital, then keep them dependable once they get there.
Why my own domain?
A portfolio about running real systems should run on a real one. Owning the domain means I choose where the site is hosted, how it is secured and how it is kept running, the same decisions I make at work.
What lives on it
This portfolio
Next.js and Three.js in front, Laravel and PostgreSQL behind. Designed, built and deployed by me.
The admin panel
A private page where I edit every word, photo and 3D object on the site and read messages from the contact form.
